I built it using Astro as a minimalist web framework that allows simple integration of other JS frameworks as snippets.

For the layout, I used Tailwind to get familiar with the framework and its concepts in practice.

Electron Chat application

Worked on a proof of concept app in a team of 3 devs and a designer.

Frontend

Developed a desktop app on electron from scratch. Using sveltekit, vite, supabase, typescript and turborepo.

• Sveltekit in a static site generation and spa mode allowed pretty straight forward routing and components for the app.
• Supabase is a great OSS backend as a service platform. It provides authentication, database and a real time communication.
• Vite for sveltekit and electron resources build.
• Turborepo to create monorepository and separate applications (web and electron) components, generated styles, types and other helpers (such as storybook).
• Made the layout of the app with right-to-left languages in mind, so that Arabic, Hebrew and asian natives would be able to use an app more comfortable.

Infrastructure

• Automated builds for all platforms using github actions and telegram bot to report links on success build.
• Implemented authentication with google and email. Set up links from the email to open in an app.
• Added to designer’s pipeline usage of design tokens and added generation of the css variables based on it.

Electron Survey application

I was brought in to work on a small Electron application with a backend on AWS with additional admin panel made with react.

The project has been in progress for some time. There is an existing application for three platforms with different versions of dependencies and nearly identical code.

The backend is built entirely on the AWS stack using CDK.

I took on the development of the application and the backend.

• Solved infrastructure issues:
  • Merged three repositories with almost identical code into one.
  • Modularized the code to eliminate the 90% code repetition.
  • Set up build automation on the server.
  • Implemented automatic code signing for builds by Apple, also on the server.
  • Added logging.
• Solved visual and behavioural bugs.
• Unified the environments on AWS with CDK configs.

Generative theming tool

For the Shopify plugin’s theme customisation I’ve created theming instrument allowing customers to select just few colors (main color, background, text color) and get the variety of colors based on it.

Geological monitoring dashboard

Participated as a frontend developer on the project that allows geologists to analyse geological data and search for locations to create new excavations.

The application had complex connections between different widgets and from time to time there was unexpected side effects that caused app to slow down and crush.

Besides usual feature work on the application, I redesigned frontend structure of this application, streamlined way widgets send information to one another.
